Life Long Learning in Pharmacy

Who should attend the LLLP - and why?

The International Conference on Life Long Learning in Pharmacy (LLLP) provides an unparalleled opportunity to discuss issues of importance and relevance to advancing pharmacy practice through continuous professional development.  The Conference is of interest to all those in the Continuing Education/Professional Development experience, including pharmacists, developers, sponsors, faculty, regulators, government, professional associations, pharmaceutical industry, communication companies, and allied health care providers and organizations from around the world.

This conference is unique in the diversity of its participants; few if any other pharmacy conferences attract such a heterogeneous group of pharmacy educators and practitioners from around the world, all with a common focus on continuing professional development.

The LLLP Conference is an exceptional opportunity to:

     - Network and collaborate with diverse international colleagues

     - Learn through sharing experience and knowledge

     - Develop multilateral networks of educators

     - Co-ordinate and contribute to best practices in education (under- and post- graduate, CPD, LLL)

     - Share significant education research and development

     - Foster inter-professional learning

     - Contribute to development of a global community of individuals and groups committed to continuous professional development.

Life long learning is embraced as a core principle for professional practice in pharmacy throughout the world. Recognizing the need for communication and partnerships between pharmacy educators, the LLLP Conference held its inaugural meeting in Denmark in 1990.  Subsequent conferences were convened in the USA 1994, Denmark 1998, Northern Ireland 2000, South Africa 2002, Canada 2005, England 2007, Finland 2009, New Zealand 2011 and United States 2014.

A momentum is growing world-wide that recognizes the integral role of continuing professional development in pharmacy practice, and the value of sharing experiences and knowledge in an international, collegial forum.  The conference facilitates participant access to high quality educational programs, internationally significant research and development, and world-renowned leaders in the field.
